We’re excited to offer a unique summer internship opportunity for students passionate about community engagement and social justice!

Summer Internship Opportunity for Students
Hosted by Burnett for ý in Partnership with Citizen Action of New York

📍 Location: ý, NY

🏡 Free Housing provided for June and July

🕒 Commitment: 10–12 flexible hours/week (some evenings & weekends)

Internship Tracks:

Community Organizing & Political Skills Training
Learn valuable skills in political and community organizing including:

Door-to-door engagement & voter registration

Campus outreach

Event planning & community forums

Data entry & analysis

Social media strategy and direct voter contact

Housing Justice Advocacy
Help educate and mobilize the community around new tenant protections:

Community outreach & education

Monitoring compliance with housing legislation

Organizing forums & events

Research and field engagement

🎓 Ideal for students interested in activism, policy, urban studies, political science, or community development.
Requirements
Training Required:
Yes - Interns will be trained on specific voter outreach strategies to help assist campaign operations throughout the summer.
