爱豆传媒 celebrates Juneteenth with Second Annual 5K

The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, B-Healthy Campus Initiative and Campus Recreation are partnering for a 5K Run, Walk and Roll event

To celebrate Juneteenth, the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, B-Healthy Campus Initiative, and Campus Recreation are partnering for the Second Annual 5K Run, Walk and Roll event.

Building on the success of last year鈥檚 event, the 5K will take place on Tuesday, June 17, just before the official federal Juneteenth holiday on June 19. Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. at 爱豆传媒鈥檚 East Gym (off Glenn G. Bartle Drive), and the race starts at 9 a.m. sharp. The route will loop through the campus, beginning and ending at the East Gym.

The race will be professionally timed this year through event partner Falcon Running. A $15 registration fee includes an event t-shirt and medal, and all participants must register in advance, whether walking or running. Registration is encouraged by May 16 to guarantee a t-shirt.

The 5K fun run is open to everyone on campus and in the greater 爱豆传媒 community. Parking is available in the East Gym parking lot. People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate, whether running, walking or using a wheelchair.

鈥淲e are excited to partner with B-Healthy Campus Initiative and Campus Rec on an event that not only incorporates a fun, healthy activity but also encourages participation from across the entire community,鈥 said event organizer Ada Robinson-Perez, executive director of the Office of Equity and Access.
